Welcome!
We are a friendly club that welcomes new members of all abilities. We specialise in canoe slalom and whitewater kayaking and also have a smaller sea kayaking section.
Please note that we are a volunteer-run canoe club (not a commercial watersports centre) - please don't just turn up without contacting us first, as we may not be able to accommodate you.
New Paddlers
Our dedicated club site on the banks of the Goyt is the perfect place to try kayaking for the first time.
We run a variety of courses for beginners (both young and not so young!) throughout the year - please visit the Beginners Courses page for details then get in touch for more information.
Please also check our News page and follow our social media channels for information about new and upcoming courses.
Experienced Paddlers
If you are an experienced paddler (slalom or whitewater), are comfortable on Grade 2/3 water and keen to use the club site or join us on river trips, please get in touch.
You are also welcome to visit the site on a Sunday morning (10-12:30pm) and our Duty Officers will be happy to give you a tour. Please contact us first as sessions are sometimes cancelled.
Weekly Sessions
We generally have the following sessions running each week, and members are welcome to attend as many as they like. New joiners should check before coming, as sessions are sometimes cancelled at short notice (updates are sent via the Spond app and by email).

- Tuesday (from 6:30pm) - Marlins (Junior Slalom) training
- Wednesday (from 7pm) - Whitewater practice, skills development and sociable paddling
- Sunday (10am to 1pm) - Open Club Sessions
