White Water at MCC
Welcome to the White Water section. We have a large, active whitewater community and our aim is to get like-minded people up and running some of the best whitewater rivers in the UK and beyond! But...you've got to start somewhere and you're in the right place - the river Goyt is an excellent grade 2 (occasionally 3) river and we're on it! It provides excellent opportunities to introduce you to moving water and help prepare you for the bigger rivers in North Wales, the Lake District and our legendary Scottish trip.
What we offer
We have some great paddlers in the section with a wealth of experience and qualifications, and we welcome new paddlers.
We introduce people to the bigger stuff when they're ready but everyone moves at a different pace so we try to accommodate different skill and ability levels by offering club trips suitable for most levels. Once someone has got the basics we usually point them towards a group of people who can help them to progress.
Please contact us for more information or if you would like to get involved, or book onto one of our Taster Sessions.
Ade Stretch - Trip Leader
I've been paddling with the club for 10+ years and I'm a BC 4 Star River leader. I run river trips (The Dee, Lune, Scotland trip).
Please visit our Facebook page and/or Calendar for details of upcoming river trips.
